Matris has developed this shock absorber for road use. Economical yet extremely effective, this monoshock is of a hydraulic type, with a pressurized nitrogen-filled expansion reservoir. The elements, whether fixed or movable, are machined from solid lightweight Ergal 7075 aluminum and undergo a hard anodized surface treatment. The cylinder and pistons made from 7075 aluminum are subjected to hard anodizing for better wear resistance. Adjustment star in alloy steel, with hard chrome plating. Lower mounting type ball joint or fork, machined from solid 7075 aluminum and anodized. Spring preload with nut and counter-nut, possibility to add hydraulic preload adjustment. 1 - Hydraulic compression adjustment 2 - Spring pre-tension adjustment 3 - Adjustable motorcycle stance (depending on applications) Choice of spring stiffness at the order and based on the rider's weight.
